In the Greensboro Marathon's third year we will keep the course that challenged so many great runners in 2014. This beautiful course will roll through the cityscape of Greensboro and also highlight the gorgeous countryside, resplendent with fall colors. You will see everything along this course - the big city, 2 of Greensboro’s lovely lakes, flats, hills, maybe even a few cows. It has anything and everything you could want! This one loop course is guaranteed to keep you interested and entertained for all 26.2 miles! Just like in 2014, plan on a lot of groups out on the course cheering you along. Barring any major construction issues this will be the course and date for the next 5 years. Come challenge yourself and see how much you can improve year to year.

The Greensboro Marathon will be a Boston Marathon qualifying event.

6.5 Hour Course Time Limit

There is a 15 minute per mile pace cut off. Along the course there will be three points where you will be cut off if you are behind the pace. You may continue to run the marathon but police officers will be pulled from the course after these checkpoints. You will be asked to move to the sidewalks or side of the road to allow traffic back on the course. At these checkpoints shuttles will be provided to assist you back to the finish line.
